GPR survey was carried out in order to detect violations of the integrity of the sluice that occurred during operation. GPR survey was conducted by GPR with a center frequency of 400 MHz probe pulses. A grid of GPR profiles was recorded on each wall of the lock chamber, in the GEORADAR-EXPERT software system, based on the results of the backscatter field analysis, sections of the Q-factor attribute were created, which were assembled in 3D. Based on the sections of 3D assemblies, maps of the concrete state of the lock chamber were formed.
The figures below show the chart of the sluice, with overlapping maps of the conditions of the concrete of the left and right walls of the sluice chamber. The red lines are the position of the GPR profiles.
The color scheme of the maps of the conditions of the concrete was chosen so that the areas of the most weakened concrete (the presence of large cracks, cavities, leaching, the threat of violation of the integrity of the structure) were displayed in red. Blue shows areas of durable concrete.
